For this assignment, I took three photos on three different subject matters. To create a shallow depth of field I used a larger aperture. To create a large depth of field I used a smaller aperture. For photos 1 and 2 I used a f-stop of 4.2. For the third photo I used a f-stop of 22. In order to change what was in focus in the photos, I could change the f-stop and I could manually focus the camera. The best photo of this assignment is photo 2. This is because the ratio of focus to blur is nice and I like the set up of the photo. You would want to use a shallow depth of field when you want only a certain part of a photo in focus. A large depth of field would be better when you want everything in the photo to be in focus such as a landscape.
